The second season of “Chucky” will have more violence, body counts, and foul language from our favorite tiny killer. The series is a direct and canonical continuation of the “Child’s Play” franchise, with Chucky now attacking the residents of Hackensack, New Jersey, while new and old heroes attempt to stop him.
The first season had Chucky attacking the Wheeler family after bullied teen Jake Wheeler discovered him at a yard sale, ending in his botched plan to unleash an army of evil Chucky dolls in children’s hospitals across the country. Less than a year has passed since the conclusion of the first season, which ended on a big cliffhanger about the fates of characters such as Tiffany Valentine, Nica Pierce, and Chucky himself. Here’s all you need to know before the second season of “Chucky” premieres in the summer, while we await the return of our faithful companion.
When Chucky Season 2 Will Be Out and Where You Can Watch It
The second season of “Chucky” will premiere on USA and Syfy simultaneously on October 5, 2022, at 9:00 p.m., much like the first season did. Weekly premieres of new episodes will occur, and after the season finale, the show will finally air on Peacock. If you’re a cord-cutter like me, you might have used the streaming service Sling last year.
It provides a feature that allows you to see both stations’ live cable broadcasts. Keep an eye on Syfy’s YouTube channel since they frequently post behind-the-scenes interviews, exclusive teaser snippets, and plenty more additional material to keep your Chucky cup overflowing in between episodes. This is another thing to keep in mind when watching “Chucky.”
Chucky Season 2 Trailer Has Been Confirmed
This Saturday will see the release of the first Chucky season 2 trailer. Based on Don Mancini’s Child’s Play movies, the horror television series Chucky airs on Syfy and USA Network. It takes place after the events of the seventh film, Cult of Chucky. As the titular Good Guy doll kills once more in the sleepy New Jersey town of Hackensack, Brad Dourif makes a comeback.

The tale mostly focuses on a new group of teens, played by Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and Björgvin Arnarson. Chucky also reintroduces some classic characters like Andy (Alex Vincent) and Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly), but these characters are not as prominent as the new group.
What is the Plot of Season 2 of Chucky?
The second season will likely pick up where the first season left off. Season 1 covers Jake’s coming out, a string of unsettling killings, and Chucky’s past, leaving a multitude of issues that can only be answered in season 2. Season 1 also featured a creepy Halloween episode in which Chucky was spotted wearing a Hello Kitty mask and trick-or-treating. Will there also be a holiday-themed show this time?
Andy winds up in a vehicle filled with dolls, where he is held at gunpoint by a possessed Tiffany doll. Season 2 of Chucky will undoubtedly cover this plot element. In addition, the forthcoming season will reveal Jake and Devon’s friendship and the consequences of Nica’s captivity.

Chucky Season 2: What Can We Expect?
All of the doubts raised by the season 1 conclusion will hopefully be answered, but it has been announced that the upcoming season will also feature the return of “Seed of Chucky” star Glen/Glenda, a gender-nonconforming legend. The doll, the offspring of Chucky and Tiffany, was the focus of one of the most memorable episodes of the first season.
Jake Wheeler is a young gay boy, and when Chucky informs him that he has no problem with his sexual orientation, he mentions having a gender-nonconforming child. Jake is astonished to learn that Chucky is accepting, to which Chucky responds, “I’m not a monster, Jake.” Glen/addition of Glenda to season 2 will, like season 1’s studies of the difficulties of coming of age as a gay adolescent, inevitably lead to discussions about gender identification.
However, “Chucky” is also present to cause chaos. Season 1 star Devon Sawa is returning after being murdered off (again), and I secretly hope that this becomes a continuing gag in which Sawa returns each season as a new character only to be killed by Chucky in bizarre ways. According to the trailer, there will be another Halloween episode, so take your bets now on whether or not they can better Chucky’s Hello Kitty outfit from the previous season.
The Cast of Chucky’s Second Season
Brad Dourif, who has voiced Chucky since the very first “Child’s Play” film, and Jennifer Tilly will both return for season 2 of “Chucky,” along with Zackary Arthur as Jake Wheeler, Bjorgvin Arnarson as Devon Evans, Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross, Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce (and perhaps again as Charles Lee Ray? ), Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, Christine Elise as Kyle, and Excitingly, the addition of Meg Tilly (“Psycho 2,” “Body Snatchers”), Gina Gershon (“Bound,” “Killer Joe”), Joe Pantoliano (“Memento”), Tony Nappo (“Saw II”), and Sutton Stracke will ensure that the program remains as meta as possible (“Real Housewives”).

Numerous additional characters are connected to Jennifer Tilly in real life, hence expanding the “Chucky” mythos in “real life.” As previously stated, Devon Sawa will return to play a new character, Lara Jean Chorostecki (NBC’s “Hannibal”) has signed on for an unannounced part, and non-binary actor Lachlan Watson will play the genderfluid Glen/Glenda.
The Creative Team Behind Chucky Season 2
Don Mancini, the creator of “Child’s Play” and “Chucky,” extends his legacy as the only creator to work on every canonical installment of a significant horror franchise by serving as executive producer for season 2. David Kirschner, Nick Antosca, Alex Hedlund, and Harley Peyton are additional EPs. The Universal Studio Group division UCP is in charge of producing “Chucky.”
