Career

1973 was the beginning of Pérez’s career in the comics industry, when he began working as the artist Rich Buckler’s assistant. Deathlok was the central figure in that issue (August 1974).

Pérez quickly established himself as a regular Marvel employee. It was authored by Bill Mantlo and published in the Marvel publication Deadly Hands of Kung Fu. In this issue, he drew a run of the action-adventure comic strip “Sons of the Tiger.”
