A number of problems with the most recent Xbox patch for Mortal Kombat 1 have led to complaints from players. Mortal Kombat 1’s gameplay appears to be negatively impacted by the update’s frequent crashes, poor graphics, and other technical issues.
A significant update for Mortal Kombat 1 was released on July 23 and brought several fascinating new features. Notably, Ferra, a new Kameo Fighter, and Takeda Takahashi, a new DLC fighter, were included in this release. It also came with UMK3 skins for Rain and Ermac, an Order of Darkness skin for Quan Chi, and MK ’95 skins for Reptile, Smoke, and Sub-Zero.
The patch notes included a long number of improvements for gameplay and graphic bugs, including issues with brutalities, trophies/achievements, and inaccurate move lists. Character-specific problems including invulnerability during Fatal Blows, inconsistent Kameo interactions, enhanced character animations, and more were also fixed in this release.
Although the substance of the Mortal Kombat 1 update seemed adequate, Xbox users have noticed a number of problems. Posts on the Mortal Kombat subreddit claim that flaws are causing characters to assume T-poses in instructional mode and on the select screen, and that special move textures are glitchy. Furthermore, it appears that online play is most impacted, as there are frequent crashes while trying to locate mates.
The lack of communication from NetherRealm Studios has angered users, who have noted that there have been no updates or patches for these issues for nearly two days. In an attempt to fix these problems, some gamers also reported that they had reinstalled the game, but this had not helped.
The July Update for Mortal Kombat 1 is Performing Impressively on the PS5
However, a few PS5 users stated in their comments on the subreddit that they have found the upgrade to be ideal. One user, for example, complimented the characters’ improved appearance and the fluency of the motion.
One of the “most polished games” they’ve ever played, according to a another user, who also hoped that the Xbox problems will be fixed quickly. The size of the most recent Mortal Kombat 1 update, which is a substantial 120.84 GB on Xbox and far greater than on other systems, is another issue.
Although it’s unclear how NetherRealm Studios will respond to these concerns and how long it will take to fix them, players of Mortal Kombat 1 should mark July 26 as a significant day. It’s likely that Kombat Pack 2 will be revealed at the Mortal Kombat 1 Year 2 panel at San Diego Comic-Con on this day, which is anticipated to provide big news.
