According to insiders, Amber Portwood is adamantly against her daughter Leah being adopted by Kristina and the wife of her ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley.
“Amber is resolute about not letting Kristina adopt Leah,” an insider exclusively revealed to Us Weekly. “She is committed to staying actively involved in Leah’s life and has no plans to give up her parental responsibilities.”
Amber Seems to Be Opposed to Kristina Adopting Leah
On the July 18 episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Gary, 37, revealed that their 15-year-old daughter is interested in being adopted by her stepmother.
“Kristina has been amazing for Leah,” he told his co-stars during a guys’ trip to Michigan. “Kristina is a loving parent, and Leah wants her to adopt her.”
