Sunday, January 9th, the actor best known for his role in “Full House” and as the host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” passed away at the Ritz-Carlton in Orland. He was 65.

He began his career as a stand-up comedian and toured the country, but his first success came when he appeared on television. In 1981, he appeared for the first time on “The Merv Griffin Show.” In 1987, he briefly appeared on “The Morning Program” on CBS, but he rose to prominence for his role as Danny Tanner on the sitcom “Full House.”

Saget, along with Kat Dennings, Brie Larson, and Jerry Adler, starred in the short-lived WB sitcom “Raising Dad” from 2001 to 2002. In 208 episodes of the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” he provided the narration voice.

Bob was a member of the Scleroderma Research Foundation’s board of directors. His sister was afflicted with the disease for which he helped raise awareness and funds.

In 1990, Bob and his ex-wife Sherri purchased a home in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood of Los Angeles for $2.5 million. In June of 2003, he purchased another home for $2,900,000 in Los Angeles.
