Deana Kay Carter (born January 4, 1966) is an American country music singer-songwriter.
The 1998 release of Everything’s Gonna Be Alright was followed by 2003’s I’m Just a Girl, 2005’s The Story of My Life, and 2007’s The Chain.
Carter was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and is the daughter of musician Fred Carter, Jr
Carter was a spokeswoman for the National Kidney Foundation, and her late father received a kidney transplant. Carter also authored the book Songs From the Heart.
