The most recent focus has been on Wolverine’s collaborations with Deadpool, but the legendary Marvel superhero (who recently celebrated his 50th anniversary) has been working with Spider-Man for years before Deadpool even made his debut.
Wolverine and Spider-Man will resume their collaborations in a brand-new team-up series called Spider-Man & Wolverine, which will debut in May.
Longtime TV writer and producer Marc Guggenheim, who worked on Wolverine’s ongoing series during the Civil War crossover and was a member of the “Brain Trust” group of Spider-Man writers who wrote Amazing Spider-Man during the “Brand New Day” era, will write the book.
Kaare Andrews, the superstar artist who recently received praise for the follow-up to his well-liked Spider-Man miniseries, Spider-Man: Reign, will draw it.
In its press announcement introducing the new book, Marvel defined the continuing series as follows, however it has not yet issued a solicitation for the first issue:

It sounds like it will be similar to several of Marvel’s recent team-up novels (such as the previously mentioned ongoing Deadpool/Wolverine series that Benjamin Percy and Joshua Cassara are now working on for Marvel).
Guggenheim and Andrews’ remarks, which were first published in Polygon’s book announcement, were shared by Marvel. “Wolverine and Spider-Man are probably my two favorite Marvel characters to write and among my favorites in all of comics,” remarked Guggenheim.
I’m really looking forward to going back to Peter and Logan with a lot more knowledge and expertise to contribute to the project because I wrote them very early in my career. Every month, Kaare Andrews and I are committed to producing a comic book blockbuster with nonstop action.
“The greatest comic book artists have always been drawn to Spider-Man and Wolverine, and I’m drawing from all of them,” Andrews continued. To be honest, though, it’s more about the time period that influenced me than it is about certain musicians. I initially fell in love with comics because of their enormous effect in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
On May 7th, Spider-Man & Wolverine #1 will be published. Kaare Andrews will create the primary cover, while David Marquez, Mark Bagley, and Clayton Crain will create variants (all shown above).
