The third season of HBO’s Euphoria has recently begun production. The cast includes Grammy Award winner Rosalía, Super Bowl Champion Marshawn Lynch, NAACP Image Award winner Kadeem Hardison, and series regulars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi.
The eight-episode third season of Euphoria will have a time jump that transports the characters out of high school. It will air in 2026, four years after the show’s second season.
Original cast members Zendaya (Dune film series), Hunter Schafer (upcoming Blade Runner), Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi (Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming Frankenstein), Sydney Sweeney (Anyone but You), Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow will return as series regulars in Season 3. Colman Domingo will return as a guest star.
Deadline revealed that Smith and King will not return for season three. Plans for Dominic Fike’s return have not been finalized.

Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry have been promoted to series regulars. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Suicide Squad) and Toby Wallace (Babyteeth) have joined the cast as series regulars.
The new Season 3 cast will include Darrell Britt-Gibson (She Taught Love), Priscilla Delgado (Julieta), James Landry Hébert (1883), and Anna Van Patten (Gossip Girl), who will play famous guest stars.
Angus Cloud, who played the series regular on “Fezco” for the first two seasons, died on July 31, 2023.
Storm Reid will not reprise her role as Georgia “Gia” Bennett, sister of Zendaya’s character Ruby “Rue” Bennett, due to scheduling conflicts and other projects with her production company, A Seed & Wings.
Barbie Ferreira said in 2022 that she would not return for Season 3, and months later confirmed that her departure was due to creative issues with her character Katherine “Kat” Hernandez. Austin Abrams, who played Kat’s lover “Ethan Daley” in the series, will not return.
As a reminder, Javon “Wanna” Walton’s character Ashtray perished in Season 2’s conclusion.
Sam Levinson developed, wrote, directed, and executive produced Euphoria, which is co-produced with A24. Season 3 is now filming in Los Angeles.
The series has gotten 25 Emmy nominations and nine wins. Zendaya won twice for best actress in a drama, and Colman Domingo won once for best guest actor in a drama. Levinson also received a DGA Award for the season two episode “Stand Still Like the Hummingbird.” Along with its critical accolades, Euphoria is one of HBO’s most-watched shows ever.
