Kate Garry Hudson (born April 19, 1979) is an actress from the United States. She has garnered numerous honors, including a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination.

Hudson, the daughter of musician Bill Hudson and actress Goldie Hawn, had her film debut in the 1998 drama Desert Blue, followed by supporting roles in many films.

She rose to attention as Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe’s musical drama Almost Famous (2000), for which she garnered a Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actress and an Oscar nomination.

Hudson appeared in a string of romantic comedies during the 2000s, including How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003), You, Me, and Dupree (2006), Fool’s Gold (2008), and Bride Wars (2009). She appeared as a recurring character in the musical series Glee (2012–2013) and as a lead in the second season of Truth Be Told (2022).

Other films in which she has appeared include The Skeleton Key (2005), Nine (2009), Rock the Kasbah (2015), Deepwater Horizon (2016), Mother’s Day (2016), Music (2021), and Glass Onion (2022).

Hudson is a co-founder of Tech Style Fashion Group’s workout brand and membership program Fabletics. She’s also the author of the non-fiction books Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body (2016) and Pretty Fun: Creating and Celebrating a Lifetime of Traditions (2017).

Kurt’s oldest son, Boston Russell, was born on February 16, 1980, to his ex-wife, actress Season Hubley. In contrast to his other siblings, he wishes to escape the spotlight.

He and his family, though, have attended a few red carpet-events. Despite not pursuing a career in Hollywood, he worked on the set of “Executive Decision” with his father in 1996.

Oliver Hudson

Oliver was born on the same day as Kate, September 7, 1976, to the same mother and father. He is most known for playing Adam Rhodes in “Rules of Engagement,” Jeff Fordham in “Nashville,” and Wes Gardner in “Scream Queens.”

He also appeared in Ellen DeGeneres’ “Splitting Up Together” as a part of the cast. On June 9, 2006, he married actress Erinn Bartlett in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and they have three children.
