Kitty’s Korean adventure will continue for another season. Netflix has renewed the popular YA comedy series XO, Kitty for a third season. Naturally, with romance at the center of the spinoff from the blockbuster To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before film franchise, Anna Cathcart, who plays the eponymous character, received the renewal news on Valentine’s Day. It arrives less than a month after Season 2’s January 16 release.

In her reaction to the pickup, XO, Kitty producer Jessica O’Toole teases how the show would address the Season 2 cliffhanger, in which Kitty unexpectedly joins Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) on a summer tour with his father and brother.

Seasons 1 and 2 followed Kitty’s stay in the Korean Independent School of Seoul for two semesters of her junior year of high school. Season 3 is planned to do the same, concentrating on her third semester at KISS — with a little diversion.

“I’m so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew. If you thought junior year at KISS brought the drama…just wait,” O’Toole said. “I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2 but I can promise season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode — not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure…and kissing. Lots of kissing.”

Season 2 of XO, Kitty opened at #2 on the English TV list with 14.2 million viewers, outperforming Netflix drama smash The Night Agent’s Season 2 premiere the next week (13.9 million).

The premiere of XO, Kitty’s second season, also reintroduced Season 1 to the Top 10 at No. 5 with 3.8 million views, with the original 2018 To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before returning to No. 6 on the English films list (3.1 million views) the following week.
