In honor of the 20th anniversary of the last installment of George Lucas’ Prequel trilogy, Lucasfilm has revealed that Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith will make a big-screen comeback on April 25.
For just one week, the film will be shown in theaters across the United States and a few other countries. It will be offered in a number of formats, including 4DX for the first time, which has sophisticated motion chairs that sync with more than 21 effects that are all meant to enhance the story.
To commemorate the re-release, renowned artist Matt Ferguson also created a brand-new poster, which you can view below.
With actors Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, and Natalie Portman establishing themselves as their respective characters as the plot progresses toward Anakin Skywalker’s unavoidable descent into evil and emergence as the legendary Darth Vader, Revenge of the Sith is widely regarded by fans as the best of the Prequels.

The image shows Skywalker being surrounded by Vader’s looming mask as he marches to carry out Order 66. Ferguson’s beautiful depiction of the life-altering lightsaber battle between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin, as well as the Coruscant cityscape with warships over the burning Jedi Temple, are also included in the expansive piece.
Years after the Clone Wars began, the heroic Jedi Knights lead a sizable clone army in a galaxy-wide conflict with the Separatists in Revenge of the Sith. The Republic falls apart, and the terrible Galactic Empire emerges from the ashes when the malevolent Sith reveal a thousand-year-old scheme to take over the galaxy.
The dark side of the Force entices Jedi Hero Anakin Skywalker to become Darth Vader, the Emperor’s new student. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Master Yoda are compelled to go into hiding, which decimates the Jedi.
Samuel L. Jackson plays Mace Windu, Christopher Lee plays Count Dooku, and the picture stars Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Frank Oz as Yoda, Jimmy Smits, Peter Mayhew, Ahmed Best, Oliver Ford Davies, Temuera Morrison, Anthony Daniels, Silas Carson, and Kenny Baker.
