The Eminence in shadow is a manga series and Japanese light novel which is illustrated by Tozai and written by Daisuke Aizawa. It began online serialization in May 2018 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Narou.

The Eminence In Shadow Storyline
The plot of the animated series The Eminence in Shadow centers around a boy living in modern Japan who aspires to be a mastermind who gains power from the shadows. However, his dreams are shattered when he dies after being hit by a truck during training.
He is then reincarnated as Cid Kagenou in a fantasy world where he takes on a plain and simple appearance to avoid attracting attention while pursuing his goal of manipulating the shadows.
Cid recruits two new members to Shadow Garden: Fiana, a girl with a photographic memory, and Kouki, a skilled martial artist.
Cid assigns them to their first mission, which is to retrieve a stolen sword. Shadow Garden is challenged by a rival organization, “Black Fist.” Cid and his team engage in a battle with Black Fist and emerge victorious.
Shadow Garden moves into a new base of operations, an abandoned factory. Cid and his team discover a hidden room in the factory and find a map that leads to a treasure.
Cid and his team plan a heist to steal the treasure from the map they found. They successfully retrieve the treasure, but they are ambushed by Black Fist. Cid and his team defeat Black Fist and escape with the treasure.
However, Cid’s fabricated story turns out to be true, and he is accidentally brought into a convoluted fight for control. Despite this, Cid continues to fight against the Diablos’ cult under the alias “Shadow”, unaware of the truth behind his involvement in the conflict.

What To Expect From The Eminence In Shadow Season 2
The Eminence in Shadows Season 2 anime story hasn’t been revealed yet, but a preview trailer has been released on the official KADOKAWA anime YouTube channel to mark the announcement of the second season. The trailer hints at a sinister plot as new treatments for Shadow Gardens come in the form of zombie attacks.
