Fans aren’t the only people who wonder when Emily Osment and her brother Haley Joel Osment will share the screen. Emily is a big supporter of her brother. Emily seems to be hoping that her older brother will bring her on board for a new project so that they can work together once more.
At the 2024 CBS Summer TCA event, Emily, 32, told reporters of Us Weekly and other publications, “He needs to write and direct.” She made a joke, “And he’ll recruit me! Don’t forget to record that. It’s going to be awesome.“
Hayley Hopes to Collaborate With Joel Once More
The siblings don’t currently have any joint projects planned, but Emily talked about how much fun they had working on The Kominsky Method a few years ago. Haley and I have collaborated on a lot of voiceover projects together, she added, mentioning their work on Family Guy.
Emily talked about her experiences working during the pandemic and described the anxiety and uncertainty she felt at the time. “It was terrifying to film with COVID,” she said to the magazine. Being in a scenario where you weren’t sure if you were safe was frightening. After donning your mask, you had to get to work.
It was comfortable to have Haley there with her, she continued, “because I knew where he’d been—he’s my brother.”
Emily portrayed Theresa in The Kominsky Method from 2018 to 2021, while her brother Haley played Robby in the same role from 2019 to 2021. The Netflix original series chronicles the struggles of an aging acting instructor named Sandy Kominsky and his longtime friend and agent, Norman Newlander, as they age in the entertainment business.
Hayley and Joel Gained Fame as Sibling Actors
For many years, Emily and Haley Joel Osment have been a prominent sibling combo in Hollywood, each specializing in their own niche within the entertainment world. First to become well-known, Haley did so in the late 1990s.
His breakthrough performance was in the 1999 movie The Sixth Sense, for which he was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his portrayal of a young child who sees dead people. He went on to star in popular movies like Pay It Forward and A.I. Artificial Intelligence after that.
Emily, on the other hand, started her career in the early 2000s and rose to fame on the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana as Lilly Truscott. Her acting and musical abilities were highlighted in this role, which opened up more television and film opportunities for her.
She gained a devoted following and critical praise for her performances in Young & Hungry and The Kominsky Method as she developed her career.
