An official cause of death has not been released, but neighbours have told DailyMail that the singer took prescription opioids and had been “popping them like gumballs” for years.
According to sources, he went to rehab last year and recovered before relapsing in recent months.
“We are awaiting an official determination of the cause of death from the Rockland County Medical Examiner,” police said of Jansen’s death. After this determination, we may share further information.”
