Jennifer Garner was not received with the utmost warmth at San Diego Comic-Con; she spent a considerable amount of time stranded in an elevator between her panel debut.

“Hey, guys, I could use a Deadpool; I could use a Wolverine; we’re stuck on this elevator,” joked 52-year-old Garner on Saturday, July 27 on Instagram. “We’re looking for stairs, and I could use someone.” Alright, we appreciate being here. “My first Comic Con experience!”

On Friday, July 26, Garner went to SDCC to support Deadpool & Wolverine, in which she plays Elektra again from her Daredevil stint. Garner was one of many celebrities that joined stars Hugh Jackson and Ryan Reynolds at the convention in California, and she was also featured in the film, which debuted on Friday.

Whether Garner was stuck in the elevator before to or following the panel is unknown. She posted many videos that she had taken while waiting in the broken elevator on Instagram.

Garner began to perspire after ten minutes because she thought the small area was “toasty.”

She chuckled, “I need to blot because I’m schvitzy.” We’re hearing, ‘Don’t cut the blue wire. We’re sitting because, I believe, I heard on an episode of The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, or something like, that you’re meant to.

Garner made an effort to wait calmly on the elevator floor, but after about forty minutes, he lost patience. She attempted to lead her group in a sing-along of “99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall” before they were asked to call for help.

The elevator’s lights and sounds came back on after “about an hour,” but the cubicle stayed still. Garner started singing Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” to spread positive energy. (The song also appears in Deadpool & Wolverine, since Reynolds, 47, was granted permission to include it by the pop superstar, 64.)

After an hour and twelve minutes, firefighters managed to pry open the elevator doors, to the delight of Garner and her crew.

Celebrity pals of Garner were pleased with her ability to remain composed under pressure.

“All right, no way Through an Instagram remark, Gwyneth Paltrow questioned, “Oh my god, how are you so calm?”

For her part, Tracee Ellis Ross continued, “Oh my! Congratulations on maintaining your composure!

Notwithstanding the incident, Garner was eager to attend her first SDCC.

She said on Friday, “I was thrilled to be at #sdcc with these incredible friends,” as the caption for another Instagram picture. “Congratulations to @slevydirect, @vancityreynolds, and @thehughjackman—you guys crushed it. #Deadpool is currently showing in theaters!
