The Kardashians on Hulu was utilized by Kim Kardashian’s therapist to diagnose the rest of her family.
Kim, 43, confided in Khloé Kardashian during the Thursday, July 18, episode of the popular show about how she was putting her mental health first.
“I went back to the therapist. “You think calm is your superpower,” she said. I believe that because of your trauma desensitization, you are essentially stuck in a fight-or-flight mode. Kim clarified to Khloé, forty. “At one point in your life, something happened, and you handled it well by remaining composed. Thus, you’ll always go for tranquility.
Khloé speculated that Kim’s shift in mindset might have been influenced by her being robbed in 2016 at gunpoint. When considering the highs and lows in her life, Kim didn’t rule it out.
Kim said to the cameras, “It saved my life and it served me well at that time.” “However, I believe I allowed things to become too calm, so people could take advantage of my composure.”
Kim continued with some unexpected information about her therapist, stating, “She also mentioned that she began to watch the show in order to complete some homework.” We all need therapy, she added, but you most of all.
Khloé accepted the personal evaluation but questioned if it was “a good idea” for Kim’s therapist to see their reality program. Meanwhile, Kim saw that as a chance to try to talk Khloé into asking for assistance.
Kim said, “I really think you need to be on this journey with me,” before going into further detail for the cameras. “Khloé might find it enjoyable to have someone guide her through specific life situations.”
Malika Haqq gave Khloé the same advise later in the episode, stating that she “100%” needs therapy.
Kim told me I need to go to therapy, therefore there must be a theme here. However, I’ve had treatment. Three or four different therapists were seen by me. Both [alone and in company],” Khloé reminisced. “I saw a therapist [through a surrogate] for [son] Tatum’s pregnancy, but we’ve never really connected.”
“She just listens and I’m like, ‘I just told you my whole life story — every dark and demonic thing — and you’re just going to be [nod along]?‘” Khloé said, expressing her irritation that she “never got any guidance.” Every therapist I have visited so far has carried that out.
Khloé’s condition worsened after she was advised by another therapist that she didn’t require assistance.
“One therapist told me I didn’t need treatment because I handle things so quickly. I’m not sure. It was an unusual meeting,” Khloé said. “I said, ‘I discovered my [then] husband [Lamar Odom] at a drug den in a motel.’… “Did you get upset?” she said as I was speaking. She said, “I don’t really think you need me,” after I calmly declined.
The Hulu star went on, “Is she letting me go? I was unable to make sense of what was going on. Are you ending our relationship? Though I’m not sure what was going on, I believe a therapist broke up with me.
Khloé wasn’t ruling out making another attempt at therapy in the near future, despite the unpleasant experiences in the past.
“I definitely need counseling. I simply don’t feel like I’m having trouble or am lost. She chuckled, “I can try counseling, and I do agree that I need to be more socially mature. “I would want to go to dinners like once a week.” Not in plural. Dinners? Don’t be ridiculous. Although I’m not dating or doing anything of the sort, I know that’s what comes next once I’m out.
