Christina Hall (née Haack) is determined to pursue her HGTV series despite her divorce from Joshua Hall.
“They are not working with Josh on The Flip Off,” an insider exclusively tells Us Weekly. “They’re continuing the show without him.”
The insider continues, saying that Joshua and Christina, 41, “had issues for a while,” thus their breakup wasn’t “sudden.”
Us reported that Christina filed for divorce on Monday, July 15, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause. The reality star noted that their separation began on July 7.
On Monday, Joshua, 44, also turned in his own application. He did, however, state their split date as July 8 in documents that We were able to obtain.
Before Joshua and Christina got married in 2022, Joshua requested in his paperwork that the court grant him all rights to his property. Additionally, he wants the common property they accumulated together to be divided equally.
This includes, per the filing, the couple’s home in Newport Beach, California, as well as any rights to Discovery and HGTV shows that they created, produced, or worked on as a married pair.
Christina’s declaration states that she will subsequently provide a list of distinct property assets and debts to the court. She also asked for her last name to be changed back to Haack.
Despite Joshua’s initial appearances on HGTV years prior, Christina invited him in for a few short stints on Christina on the Coast. She did, however, hint to Us that Joshua might have a larger role in her upcoming show, The Flip Off. (The Flip Off’s debut is scheduled for 2025.)
Regarding the project alongside her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa (née Young), she exclusively told Us in July 2023 that “we’re working together just, like, hand in hand and discovering what that dynamic is and looks like.”
We’re still learning a lot because working with a spouse is never easy. I’m accustomed to having complete control over everything, particularly design. We are dealing with a whole new dynamic, so it will be interesting to see how it develops.
Joshua and Christina first became associated in 2021, after Christina’s turbulent divorce from Ant Anstead. The following year, Joshua and Christina exchanged vows in a private ceremony. In October 2022, the couple remarried in Hawaii, this time with Christina’s kids in attendance. (Christina shares son Hudson, 4, and daughter Taylor, 13, with Anstead; son Brayden, 8, is shared with Tarek.)
Joshua discreetly deleted references to Christina and her children from his Instagram bio when word of their divorce spread. Prior to tagging the HGTV star, he had the first initials of Christina’s three kids listed on his profile. His Instagram page suddenly has no bio section.
