After George Karlaftis, a defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs, struck Kadarius Toney during training camp, Travis Kelce gave him a shove.
On July 24, the fourth day of the Chiefs’ training camp, George, 23, gave wide receiver Kadarius, 25, a questionable hit that sent him to the ground. This sparked the incident. As soon as Travis, 34, hurried over, Kadarius violently tossed his football at George, drawing attention from onlookers.
During the unpadded session, a whistle was blown in an attempt to calm the athletes down, but Travis was obviously upset with George and got in his face. The players’ helmets collided prior to Travis pushing George. Fortunately, someone broke up their dispute before it became worse.
Toney was given some comments by head coach Andy Reid as he passed by, Fox 4 News Kansas City reporter PJ Green reported. But “not a big fuss was made,” and the players went back to working out.
Following his signing of a two-year contract extension for $34.25 million in April, Travis is now in training camp. His eleventh season with the Chiefs will begin in 2024–2025, and he will probably be aiming for his third straight Super Bowl victory with the group.
The Ohio native has a history of letting his feelings run wild during games; in February of last year, he made news for yelling in Andy’s face during Super Bowl LVIII.
Cameras captured Travis looking extremely agitated as he got in his coach’s face and appeared to shove him when the Chiefs were behind the 49ers. The squad eventually caught up to the 49ers and won the game, even though they were behind.
Although Andy, 66, informed reporters that Travis’s actions were the result of a “emotional” day, the tight end nonetheless received criticism from the public for his attitude.
“It’s not selfishness; he enjoys playing the game and wants to see his team succeed. After the game, Andy remarked, “I understand that it sounds like it is. We recognize that when he runs into me, I chase after him. I was totally taken off guard by him.
When challenged to disclose what he was telling Andy by ESPN’s Booger McFarland, Travis said the incident wasn’t that big of an issue. “I’m going to keep it between us, man.” He said, “I was just telling him how much I love him.”
After touring the globe to support girlfriend Taylor Swift on her Eras tour, Travis went back to training camp. Although a lot of admirers have come to adore their romance, a source revealed to Life & Style in an exclusive interview that Travis has evolved and is no longer as grounded as he once was.
“He’s flying on private jets, occasionally sporting flashy jewelry, purchasing designer suits, and indulging in luxury grooming as if he were Brad Pitt,” the source disclosed on July 24. “He’s living life to the fullest.”
The informant went on to say that since he began to live a more opulent lifestyle, his pals have observed a shift in his conduct. The person went on, “He’s nothing like the guy they used to know.” “One aspect of his charm was his humility in the past.”
