“I’m on medication for weight loss because I’m tired of being overweight and looking like a damn ogre,” Alabama, 18, stated in a video that was published on Tuesday, July 16 on TikTok by a fan.”It’s like, I take these really ugly pictures, and everyone is like, ‘Oh my god, you look so fat and ugly.‘”
She went on to say, “I get what you all are seeing, but please, meet me in person. I don’t think I actually look like that.”
Alabama’s honest admission shocked and upset social media users. One TikToker wrote, “[I] swear we are our own biggest haters because she’s absolutely beautiful.”
“She’s so cute and pretty, this makes me sad,” said someone else. “She’s too young to be taking weight-loss medication,” said a third.
Injectable drugs like Ozempic and Mounjaro, which are authorized for use in people with type 2 diabetes, have gained popularity as weight-loss aids over the past few years, though she did not specify which prescription she is using.
The FDA has approved Wegovy and several similar drugs for the purpose of weight loss. The FDA has approved four more weight-loss drugs for kids 12 years of age and older, according to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.
