Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are being welcomed to the Marvel Cinematic Universe by Chris Pratt.

The Guardians of the Galaxy actor joked about with Jackman on Instagram on Thursday, July 25, sharing his excitement about seeing Deadpool and Wolverine.

Pratt, 45, posted a picture of himself and Reynolds, 47, towering over someone he said was Jackman, but the Australian actor is far taller than them. Pratt purposefully obscured the subject’s face with a picture of Jackman.

“I’m incredibly thrilled about Deadpool and Wolverine! Going to be enormous! It will be shown on Saturday! Do you have your tickets? Pratt tagged the photo. “My son’s favorite actor is Ryan.” This is painful. And how wonderful it was to meet Hugh Jackman at last. I expected him to be taller. Now let’s move! #mcu

Reynolds also joined in on the joke, remarking on the post with the phrase “Hugh has a 6’2″ face. However, in person, whoa. 4’11”.”

Reynolds and Jackman are making their MCU debuts with Deadpool & Wolverine, while Pratt has portrayed Peter Quill/Star-Lord in three Guardians of the Galaxy films, two Avengers films, and Thor: Love and Thunder.

In 2023’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Pratt made his final appearance as Star-Lord; he may play the character again in the future. The final words of Guardians 3 are, “The legendary Star-Lord will return.”

James Gunn, the director of Guardians, said during the digital release of the movie, “We always want to give somebody a little something special.” Furthermore, Chris and I have long discussed how wonderful it would be to be able to make a Legendary Star-Lord film.

Pratt recently stated that, given Gunn’s “blessing,” he would be happy to reprise the role. The director is presently filming a Superman reboot at DC Studios, a competitor of Marvel Studios, where he also serves as co-CEO.

Pratt said to IGN in May, “It’s hard to imagine what that would look like, so I guess I’d just have to take it on a case-by-case basis.” “I would be open to it, of course. I adore the persona. My life was altered by it. I would definitely be open to it if it came up, made sense, and I thought it was a tale worth telling. I adore using Star-Lord to play.

Pratt continued, “But it would be difficult to do without James.” And because he’s genuinely unique, it can be challenging to find a means of maintaining the tone that he crafts so deftly. We’ll see, and it would have to be with his approval.
