But it was her part as Tanya in both seasons of The White Lotus that made her a favorite in the industry, especially after her funny and sweet Golden Globes speech.
Even though she is known for being open and honest, and even joked that she had “hundreds” of suitors after playing Stifler’s mom in the American Pie movies, not much is known about her personal life or her dating past.

The actor and entertainer Chris Kattan is most often linked to the Emmy winner. In his 2019 book, Baby, Don’t Hurt Me, Kattan called Coolidge “a tall, messy, sexy, tough, charmingly crass Boston bombshell who was thought to be unreachable by everyone.” He admitted, “This didn’t stop me from having a crush on her.”
Kattan said that he and Coolidge “seemed to be physically incompatible” and that “she was way out of my league,” so when they started dating, no one could believe it.
In his book, the actor said that he and Coolidge had been dating for a year and a half when they both tried out for SNL. But when he got on the show, things “started to go in a different direction.”
Kattan said that he and Coolidge’s friendship began to get worse in the summer of 1997. In Hawaii, Coolidge once went out with two friends. In 2021, when Coolidge was on The Kelly Clarkson Show, she talked about how she pretended to have a twin sister so she could go out with two guys who knew each other.
“When you’re on vacation by yourself, you can make whatever you want,” she told him. “I ended up meeting these two guys who were best friends, and I liked them both. So, I told them I had a brother who was just like me. I went out with both of them…for two weeks.”
