After an unfavorable Ozempic side effect, Macy Gray could only say “I try.”

In the second episode of MTV’s The Surreal Life, which premiered on Tuesday, July 23, the singer disclosed that she was “up all night” due to constipation caused by the well-known weight loss medication.

The 56-year-old Gray revealed that she didn’t want to “look fat” on the MTV show since she is “a vain person” in private. In addition, she disclosed that she intended to shed a few pounds after “gaining a lot” during the previous few years in order to get ready for her tour following the conclusion of The Surreal Life.

During an interview with the show’s costars, Kim Zolciak and Johnny Weir, Gray disclosed that she has been unable to leave during her visit.

My stomach hurts, oh boy. Simply put, I’ve been very constipated,” she remarked. “I choose Ozempic. I spent the entire night awake and unable to use the restroom.

“Ozempic carries that out,” Zolciak answered. “You know you have to be really careful.”

In her confession, Gray went into further detail, admitting, “I’m somewhat of a conceited person, but not really. Over the previous few years, I’ve put on a lot of weight, and now is the perfect moment for everyone to start talking about the Olympics.

“I decided to try to obtain an Ozempic instead of taking it off the proper way because I’m not getting it off the right way,” she said.”Before the show, I really tried to lose the weight because I didn’t want to look really obese on TV, but here we are.”

Constipation is a typical adverse effect of Ozempic, along with diarrhea, stomach discomfort, vomiting, and nausea.

Ozempic, which was once developed to treat type 2 diabetes, is now a widely discussed weight loss strategy. Celebrities who have either used the substance or made statements about it include Gray.

Bella Thorne spoke candidly to Us Weekly earlier this week about the risks she thinks Ozempic presents.

She remarked, “I just don’t think it’s good.” “No matter your age, but particularly for many of the younger generation growing up, those are the periods when they’re learning what it means to be beautiful and how others view attractive.

It’s simply so very regrettable. I’m hoping that actually fades away and that we can return to the advancement of tolerating people of different body kinds.

However, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, a Real Housewives of Orange County veteran, spoke highly of her Ozempic experience.
