The fourth season of The Boys ended with a big change to the way things were. During a planned takeover, most of the Boys were either on the run or taken by unknown forces, leaving Homelander with no one to fight.
If that wasn’t upsetting enough, a scene after the credits showed that Soldier Boy is now in Homelander’s care, which could be bad news for the Boys. Now, in a behind-the-scenes video, Eric Kripke, who runs The Boys, talks about the Soldier Boy plot and promises that fans will see more of Jensen Ackles in the fifth and final season.
He said, “Soldier Boy is a fan favorite.” “Of course H.L. would find out that his father is in jail once he is in charge of the government. We’ll see him again soon.
It was clear that Soldier Boy would show up again since season 5 of the show was confirmed to be the last. The fact that the fan-favorite figure will be back is still great news for the end of The Boys. Soldier Boy was last seen being arrested by the government after a fight with the Boys.
It has since been revealed that Homelander is actually Soldier Boy’s son, but the former superhero made it clear that he doesn’t like him and even tried to kill him. What will happen in season 5? Will “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” be true?
How Will Soldier Boy Play a Part in Season 5 of the Boys?
Soldier Boy is one of the few Supes who can defeat Homelander because he can take away skills. This will come in handy during season 5 of The Boys. The end of the story is now set, with Homelander running the government and the Boys on the run as wanted criminals.
Everyone needs to be on their game. Rather than making things easier, Soldier Boy’s return is likely to make things more difficult for everyone.
Soldier Boy seems like a good friend for the Boys, but he’s shown that he’s not decent and only cares about himself. The last time they saw each other, things did not go well. The Boys turned on Soldier Boy to protect Ryan, Soldier Boy’s cousin.
Homelander may be looking forward to a good father-son reunion, but the last time he saw Soldier Boy, he called Homelander a failure and tried to kill him.
Fans of Supernatural will have to wait a while longer to see Ackles and his former on-screen dad Jeffrey Dean Morgan together again, since it was revealed that Morgan’s character is actually a dream of Billy Butcher.
Ackles may or may not play a big part in season 5, but that is still unknown. The actor is clearly excited about the project, but he is also the lead on another Prime show called Countdown and will be back for a second season as a guest star on Tracker.
